Trois-Rivières becomes owner of the Ursulines monastery
The Ursulines, having left the building in 2019, donated their monastery to the City of Trois-Rivières. In exchange, Trois-Rivières undertakes to conserve and enhance the historic site. The new vocation should be identified and implemented within three years.
First of all, we must ensure its integrity, through maintenance, through preservation. Then we will work on his occupation. We already have two or three little ideas, says Jean Lamarche. Without giving too many clues about the possibilities put on the table, the mayor mentions that it will be a question of culture, health and education.
