Like a cat, the Opus 9 has had several lives. This heritage object was listed due to the fact that it has the distinction of being the oldest Casavant organ still in its original state. The ’instrument’s music resonates once more thanks to its meticulous restoration, which is the result of the engagement of multiple actors in the field, notably the organ manufacturer Casavant Frères, the Religious Heritage of the Diocese of Saint-Hyacinthe and the City of Saint-Hyacinthe.
