A sector in danger

The Archives Committee of the Quebec Religious Heritage Council wishes to contribute to the revision of the Archives Act by focusing its concerns on religious archives. Although private, these are of national and public interest because of their seniority and their participation in civil society over a period of more than 300 years. They precede, so to speak, the public archives from the Quiet Revolution and are essential for recognizing the different facets linked to the place of women and men who abandoned their personal lives in favor of service to the community, both in health. , in education than in community and social action, but also in arts and sciences.
