The ensemble of the Church of Saint-James the Apostle in Cacouna underwent extensive restoration work in the past few years. While the church’s steeple was laid on the ground to be reconstructed, the presbytery’s foundations were replaced and the roof was reclad in its original material, cedar shingles. All these efforts will allow the community to (re)discover a treasure of local heritage.
