The Organ Committee and the Saint-Sauveur Church in Val-d'Or are preparing a grand opening concert on March 9 at 7 pm for the organ that was donated to the parish of Val-d'Or by the Congrégation des Sœurs de l’Assomption de la Sainte Vierge de Nicolet, who celebrated in 2017 the 100th anniversary of his arrival in Abitibi soil.

This inaugural concert, which will be free for all citizens, will highlight the largest organ in Abitibi-Témiscamingue.

It will be Jocelyn Lafond, titular of the great organ of Saint-Hyacinthe cathedral and professor at the Trois-Rivières Conservatory of Music, who will have the opportunity to play.
