BAnQ Rimouski acquires the funds of the Congrégation des Sœurs du Saint-Rosaire
Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) has just acquired the funds of the Congrégation des Sœurs du Saint-Rosaire, which will be kept at BAnQ Rimouski.
It is a large collection of almost 40 linear meters of textual documents and 20,000 photographs related to the teaching missions of the Congregation.
"This major acquisition recalls the contribution of the teaching nuns to the building of Quebec society and documents the history of the Bas-Saint-Laurent region and the Gaspé region in a most remarkable way,"
explains the president- general manager of BAnQ, Jean-Louis Roy.
