The organ of the Immaculée-Conception Church of Montreal is currently being restored. Organs Factors Juget-Sinclair moved their workshop into the church to work on the mechanical instrument of 4,500 kilos.

Built more than 50 years ago, it is one of the most beautiful and important organs in the province. He has had more than a hundred concerts and hours of recording, thousands of hours of Mass and countless hours of practice (from international artists to organ students). So much that its condition deteriorated to the point where a great restoration was needed. Funding of $ 144,890 was provided for this work by the Ministry of Culture and Communications (fiscal year  2017-2018).

The post-restoration concert will take place on November 16, at 7:30 pm as part of the Canadian International Organ Competition.

In this 50-second video, Mr. Robin Côté repairs and tests a pipe of the instrument. See also theses pictures.
